The Oscar-winning Juno screenwriter, 32, and her husband Dan Maurio welcomed their first son Tuesday, she announced on Twitter.
“We had our boy early this morning! Marcello Daniel Maurio, 7lbs, 2 oz, lightly mustachioed,” she wrote.
Cody (real name: Brook Busey) announced she was expecting on Twitter as well.
“Thanks for the congrats on my fetus,” she wrote in April. “No secrets here. Just thought it would be fun to see how big I could get before someone noticed.”
Cody, who also wrote the box office dud Jennifer’s Body, created the Emmy-winning Showtime series United States of Tara. She’s also helming the big screen adaptation of the Sweet Valley High book series.
