Just a two days after Nick Young told PEOPLE he was planning “a big surprise” for his girlfriend, Iggy Azalea, the Los Angeles Lakers player proposed to the rapper.
The basketball star, a.k.a. Swaggy P, got down on one knee and popped the question at his 30th birthday party on Monday night – and she said, “Yes!”
Karen Civil, who was a guest at the party, captured the special moment on a video she posted on Twitter.
The Real host Jeannie Mai was also at the bash and shared a pic of the happy couple on Instagram, writing, “She said YES!!! I just love that Nick used his bday party to propose to the love of his life. That face…”
Young, 29, told PEOPLE on Saturday that he was planning something special for Azalea’s 25th birthday on June 7 and insisted that “of course” there would be a wedding in the near future.
The couple have been together for more than a year and a half and, as Young said, “it’s love.”
