It’s a boy! Christina Ricci recently welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with husband James Heerdegen, sources confirm exclusively to Us Weekly.

The former child actress, now 34, first sparked pregnancy speculation in late May when she stepped out at LAX airport in Los Angeles with a tell-tale baby bump, confirming the news via publicist shortly thereafter.

The new parents couldn’t be more excited about welcoming their little bundle of joy. “They are thrilled and ready for a change of pace,” a pal told Us at the time.

The couple, who first met on the ABC series Pan Am in 2011, tied the knot on the Upper East Side in New York City in October 2013. Us exclusively broke the news of the intimate nuptials, where the duo were feted by close family and friends at the Harold Pratt House and Peterson Hall.

“I love so many things about him,” the Addams Family and Mermaids actress gushed to Us of Heerdegen back in May 2013. “He’s my favorite person on Earth,” she said, adding at the time that she “absolutely” wanted kids.Â “I can’t wait to have our own little world replete with small beings!”

First came love, then marriage and now Christina Ricci is ready for a baby carriage!

The actress, 34, is expecting her first child with husbandÂ James Heerdegen, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The mom-to-beâ€s pregnancy was revealed as she made her way through Los Angeles International Airport in a belted black dress with Heerdegen on Saturday.

After meeting on the set of her former showÂ Pan Am, Ricci and Heerdegen, a camera technician, went public with their relationship in February 2012, and announced their engagement one year later.

In October, the couple wed in an intimate ceremony at Manhattanâ€s Harold Pratt House & Peterson Hall.

â€œI canâ€t wait [to call him], â€˜Husband,â€ because then I can really throw my weight around,â€ Ricci joked to PEOPLE before the nuptials.

And soon it will be, â€˜Dad!â€

Christina Ricci tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend James Heerdegen in an intimate ceremony Saturday night before family and friends in New York.

The actress, 33, wore a Givenchy haute couture wedding gown in white silk tulle with appliquÃ© of Chantilly lace and satin piping, embroidered with micro pearls. Her white tulle veil had appliquÃ© of matching Chantilly lace.

The ceremony took place at Manhattan’s Harold Pratt House & Peterson Hall, a nearly century-old mansion which is also the headquarters of the Council on Foreign Relations.

The couple met working on the set of the former ABC series Pan Am and took their relationship public last February, when their engagement was confirmed.

“Getting to say ‘fiancÃ©’ instead of ‘boyfriend’ is my favorite thing,” about being engaged, the actress told PEOPLE in July. “I can’t wait for ‘husband.'”

Looks like Christina Ricci will be having a very romantic Valentine’s Day 2013 indeed — because she’s engaged to boyfriend James Heerdegen! The actress, 32, confirmed the news exclusively to Us Weekly on Friday (Feb. 1) at the Grove in L.A., where she helped unveil the Make Up For Ever Remix Make Up Bag and Make Up For Ever Mobile Tour.

The star met dolly grip Heerdegen on the set of her canceled ABC series, with Us Weekly first reporting the relationship back in February 2012. Ricci has been wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring since last October, but had declined to comment on engagement speculation.

Wearing the bauble at Friday’s Make Up For Ever event (Ricci helped design the Makeup Forever Remix bag), she finally fessed up to Us that she and her man got engaged last fall. “Yeah,” the Addams Family alum confirmed, accepting congrats from Us Weekly‘s reporter Brody Brown. “[We got engaged] a couple months back.”

Despite the happy news, Ricci and her man don’t have any specific plans for Feb. 14. “Honestly, I was trying to think of that before, I can’t remember’ a single Valentine’s Day!” she said, laughing. “I personally just don’t think I’ve ever made a big deal about Valentine’s Day. I mean. I like to get like flowers.”

The actress and RAINN spokesperson was previously engaged to actor Owen Benjamin; they split in June 2009. Heerdegen has worked on more than 40 film and television productions, including Sex and the City 2, Nurse Jackie, Baby Mama and What Happens in Vegas.

Ricci — who first became a household name as a child star in The Addams Family films and in Mermaids — next stars in this summer’s Smurfs 2.

“I worked so much last year that I just really wanted to have some time off to just kind of live,” she explained. “You kind of need to take time to be a real person.”
